Airlines and businesses at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport have hundreds of job openings right now as they hire to keep up with the increasing passenger traffic. Many of the jobs include health care, 401(k) options and travel perks.

American Airlines
American Airlines is hiring hundreds of reservation agents nationwide, including at the airline’s Tempe offices.
“Customers are eagerly planning their future travels and look to our team to guide them through their trips. Our agents are critical in our ability to care for our customers, and we look forward to expanding our local teams to strengthen that care,” Julie Rath, vice president of customer experience and reservations, told the Arizona Republic.
Per the listing on American’s career website, the positions start at $14.74 an hour and include eligibility for travel privileges and discounts as well as traditional benefits such as a 401(k) account, health benefits and two weeks’ vacation.

HMS Host
HMS Host manages some of the restaurants at Sky Harbor Airport. The company is hiring for more than 100 full- and part-time positions including line cooks, Starbucks baristas, hosts/hostesses, cashiers, snack bar attendants and utility/dishwashers.
There are full-time and part-time positions, and benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) accounts, free bus/parking pass, meal allowance and paid time off.
HMS Host is holding a job fair from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 25, at its office at 1250 E. Hadley St., Phoenix. The dress code is casual; applicants should bring two forms of identification. RSVP by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].

Transportation Security Administration
The agency has full- and part-time openings. Starting pay is $17.10 hourly for part-time workers and $35,685 for full-time salaried positions. Benefits include health insurance, Thrift Savings Plan retirement fund, vacation and sick leave and paid college tuition.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma or GED. Criminal background checks and drug tests are required.
