Navy Women’s Basketball Doubleheader Against Loyola Canceled

 
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League women’s basketball games between Navy and Loyola Maryland scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday Feb. 28 have been cancelled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Navy women’s basketball program’s Tier 1.
 
This weekend’s Lehigh-American games have also been cancelled in an abundance of caution due to contact tracing associated with a positive COVID-19 test from outside of the Lehigh women’s basketball program’s Tier 1.

Loyola Maryland will instead meet Lafayette on Saturday and Sunday. Loyola Maryland will travel to Easton, Pa. to take on Lafayette for a 1 p.m. tip on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Leopards will head to Baltimore, Md. to take on the Greyhounds at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. Live coverage of the contests will be available on ESPN+.

 
NCAA TIER 1 DEFINITION: Tier 1 is the highest exposure tier and consists of individuals for whom physical distancing and face coverings are not possible or effective during athletic training or competition. Examples of relevant individuals include student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, medical staff, equipment staff and officials.
